About the Role
At Teapot Café Lounge, our Shift Leaders keep the energy flowing and the standards high. You’ll take charge of day-to-day operations during your shift, guiding Canabaristas, Hosts, and Kitchen Creatives to deliver smooth service and unforgettable guest experiences. From handling cash to resolving challenges on the floor, you’ll be the go-to person who makes sure everything runs with balance, calm, and care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Organize shift schedules, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.

Monitor attendance, punctuality, and staff readiness for each shift.

Assign duties and support team members to ensure efficient service.

Supervise staff performance and step in to assist with tasks when needed.

Coach and mentor staff, offering feedback to support growth and consistency.

Handle guest concerns with professionalism and warmth, keeping the Teapot culture at the forefront.

Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and employment standards.

Balance tills, complete cash drops, and prepare shift reports.

Communicate shift outcomes, challenges, and successes to the Store Manager.
Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in a supervisory or shift lead role (hospitality preferred).

Strong leadership and people-management skills.

Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

Comfortable managing cash handling and shift reporting.

Knowledge of café operations or barista skills is a plus.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
